This is a limited offer available on Lenovo site. It will expire on June the 15th, 2008.
You can still buy a Lenovo ThinkPad notebook with Windows XP already installed on it before June the 15th, 2008. After that date, ThinkPad notebooks will be available only with Windows Vista pre-installed.
In the original announcement, Lenovo said that ThinkPad notebooks with Windows XP pre-installed on them will only be available untill May the 20th, 2008. Now they have extended that term until June 15, 2008.
As you can see for yourself, this is quite important stuff. If you’re a fan of Windows XP, such as I am, you might want to consider purchasing a Lenovo ThinkPad notebook with Windows XP on it, rather than Windows Vista.
Otherwise, just wait until June 15, 2008, and get a Lenovo ThinkPad notebook with Windows Vista pre-installed.
Currently, Windows XP operating system is available as option in:
- Lenovo ThinkPad notebooks
- Lenovo 3000 notebooks
- ThinkCentre desktops
- ThinkStation workstations.
In time, Windows XP will be replaced by Windows Vista on Lenovo notebooks, desktops, and workstations. So make the best of this Lenovo Offer expiring on June the 15th, 2008.
