2007 cricket world cup - Hot Trends

As Google states, the 2007 cricket world cup is on fire on the web search. It seems that everyone likes to play that cricket game both ways across the pond.

Let’s see now…

A. Cricket - What is that game about?

Cricket is a bat and ball type of sports played by two teams of 11 players each. It’s the same as soccer (European football) in terms of how many players can play cricket at once. Much like football, cricket is played on grass. It’s basically the same as baseball, except that it was invented in England at the begining of the 16th century.

B. What is a Cricket World Cup?

If you haven’t figured that one for yourself, you should know that a Cricket World Cup is a competition held between multiple nations (countries) fighting for the same World Champion title. It’s not exactly like the World Series held between American States only, but you get the idea.

C. What is the 2007 Cricket World Cup?

The 2007 Cricket World Cup is an event held in 2007 in the Caribbean (aka The West Indies, as Englishmen calls it) between from 13 March to 28 April 2007. The Championship was won by Australia, mate.

I can’t imagine why the “2007 Cricket World Cup” would be so hot on the web right now (as of May 14, 2008), but what the heck.
